Learn how you can help
A volunteer is anyone who gives his or her time and talent by choice, does a good deed for free, and helps others in the community by doing real and important work.
People First
The Arc of Smith County believes that all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are defined by their own strengths, abilities and inherent value, not by their disability.
Why Serve?
There are lots of reasons to volunteer! In addition to earning hours for school, you get to: help other people, make new friends, learn about the community, develop leadership skills, get recognized for your work, enhance your resume and college applications, learn new skills, explore your interests, gain self-confidence, make a difference in the community and most of all, you get to have fun!
Programs and Events
The Arc provides a variety of programs for our consumers and their families. They include recreational, social, advocacy and support programs. If you have any questions regarding any programs, please contact Rhonda Boaz, Program Manager for The Arc, at 903-597-0995.
