Camp Kennedy

Camp Kennedy was a brand new camp in 2005. We had SO many people interested in camps and only so much room to fit them at Camp Heyday, that we decided to open a second one.

This camp is located at Camp Tyler in Whitehouse, TX and was created specifically with our adults, who were looking for more challenges.

Camp Kennedy Wilderness Camp 2008 was a huge success and we're looking forward to activities such as hiking, low ropes challenge course, archery, canoeing and YES, the water slide again this year.

Who: People, ages 21 & up, with intellectual and developmental disabilities who meet stated criteria set forth by the camp committee, including community ready. This camp can not accommodate those campers that use wheelchairs or other assistive aids. (These campers are accommodated at Camp Heyday).

Camp Kennedy will be July 18-23, 2010.
